Antique Warehouse | Steubenville OH

The vintage tiled logo is still visible today of the ladies department store that once thrived here.

I accidentally discovered Antique Warehouse while searching for antique shops on a random second hand shopping adventure. Steubenville, OH is not what I would consider a haven for antiquing so needless to say I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem. My first thought was how I didn’t already know this place existed. I thought I knew EVERY possible antique and 2nd hand store in the valley. My second thought was how amazing this place must have been during it’s heyday as a downtown Department Store. Thankfully there are still some retro features in the store left behind for us to see.

The building had previously been a Ladies Department Store named Denmark’s which had since been closed for almost 20 years. The building sat empty until new owner Ken Smith decided it was time to bring the building back to life. The antique store opened in September 2016. There are plans to restore an additional part of the building for an eatery of some type coming in the near future.

This place is full of interesting vendors and has 4 floors of quality antiques & collectibles. As you first walk thru the front entrance you are greeted with this lovely scene. I noticed the first dealer on the right just happens to be one of my favorites from the Wheeling, WV area. Vintage style metalware, shabby chic style items and tucked in between there were a few bins of vintage vinyl records for the music collector.

The checkout area at the center of the building along with the view of the 2nd floor mezzanine. You can hike the stairs or take the elevators to all 4 floors.

Looking down from the 2nd floor mezzanine to the 1st floor. I was especially fond of the vintage gold metal drop lamps near the stairs.

There was a sweet little spot on the 3rd floor full of vintage vinyl records as well as CDs. You can’t tell we love music can you?…

Views of the 3rd floor along with the stairwell down to the 2nd floor mezzanine.

As you can see there’s some amazing stuff in here. If you are in the Ohio Valley area or will be passing through be sure to stop by the Antique Warehouse in downtown Steubenville, OH. We easily spent about 2 hours exploring all 4 floors so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Prices are quite reasonable and there is truly something for everyone. To see old abandoned buildings that once had thrived come back to life again always makes me happy… especially when they are filled to the brim with vintage :)
